After you have visited the church for a few weeks, you may feel led to join our church family. If you have any further questions about membership, feel free to contact the church to set up a meeting time with a pastor. As part of the process of membership, there are a few questions we would like you to ask yourself:
Am I following Jesus?
We are all born with a sin nature. Because of our sin, we are unable to have a relationship with God without forgiveness.
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, - Romans 3:23
We can’t earn God’s forgiveness – it must be given. Jesus gave His life as a sacrifice so that we could be forgiven.
But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. - Romans 5:8
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 6:23
We must accept this free gift from God by committing our lives and heart to Jesus.
Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. - Romans 10:9
Have I made an outward profession through baptism?
Baptism is the symbol of Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection, and symbolizes your new life as a Christian. For those who have accepted Christ and want to follow His example, baptism is an opportunity to identify yourself with The Savior and show the world that you are a follower of Christ! Baptism isn’t required for salvation, but is the NEXT STEP of faith for believers. Contact the church office or let the pastor know if you are ready for baptism.
